Working for a more United Uptown community

Welcome! The Uptown Community Planning Group serves as an advisory body to the City of San Diego. The UCPG is the recognized CPG for the Uptown neighborhoods of Hillcrest, Bankers Hill, Mission Hills, Middleton, Medical Center and University Heights. We advise on land-use, development, and discretionary projects within the six neighborhoods of Uptown. We provide a platform for public discussion and engagement on planning matters that affect the community.

Our community plan builds upon the City's broader plans, such as the land use plan, mobility plan, climate action plan, and parks master plan. We do not operate in a vacuum; instead, we work to guide our community in alignment with these overarching strategies and policies.

Voting times and dates

-March 9th- Last day to register ONLINE as a voter (5:00 PM cutoff)

-March 4th - Online only voting continues.

-March 11th 4:00 - 8:00 pm, Final day of in-person voting AND REGISTRATION will be held at March regular meeting. St Paul’s Cathedral’s Great Hall at 2728 6th st, 92103 (entrance on 5th Ave thru the main plaza)

March 11th -Online voting ends @ 9:00 pm: ***Please Note, Online registration has now closed.

The last day to register in person and VOTE is March 11, 2025. In order to VOTE you must come to St.Pauls Cathedral 4:00pm-8:00pm (with proof of residence or ownership).

Ballot counting will be open to the public and will begin at 10am on March 12, 2025 at Lewis Fay Community Space (1620 West Lewis Street SD CA 92103). Results will be announced at 5pm on March 13 HERE.

Results will also be emailed to all candidates and board members.

Challenges- To challenge results, you must submit a formal challenge by 5pm on March 14, 2025 by submitting an email to with the subject line “challenge to 2025 uptown election”. to Contact@uptowncommunityplanning.org
